Jim Thorpe Area School District

The Jim Thorpe Area School District is located in the United States state of Pennsylvania. It comprises the borough of Jim Thorpe and the townships of Penn Forest and South Kidder. It covers a total area of 137 square miles (350 km2). It operates three schools: L.B Morris Pre-K - 6, Penn Kidder Pre-K - 8, and Jim Thorpe Area High School. The school district currently hosts over 2500 students in grades K-12 and is growing rapidly. The high school and one of the elementary schools, LB Morris, are located in the town of Jim Thorpe. Penn Kidder Campus, although part of Jim Thorpe Area School District, is located about 15 miles (24 km) from Jim Thorpe in the town of Albrightsville.
